Antarctica 2020
I don't consider myself a landscape or ice photographer. Far from it! My passion is roaming streets connecting with people. All that changed after several visits to the polar regions. Once I saw ice as living, breathing, crying, calving, having human qualities and icebergs layered like people everything changed. I took a closer look at the lines, colors, patterns and the layers of history dating back thousands of years. My connection to ice happened in the expanse of endless horizons. When I could see my own life in a frozen world of stars and openness I found the balance I had been looking for between the importance of the journey and the photograph.
