The first time I set foot in Cuba I knew it was the beginning of a long relationship. It wasn't the old cars or the once magnificent buildings, now in ruins, that caused me to return. It was the Cuban people and their incredible spirit that I so longed to uncover and understand. An island who's complex and turbulent past had taken such a toll. Roaming the streets of Cuba I felt a connection so strong that it has drawn me back time and time again. There was a story to be told and I knew that these complex questions would be difficult to answer in a photograph.
